High-Speed Car Pursuit Ends in Sacramento After Armed Robbery at Roseville CVS

ROSEVILLE, CA — A dramatic high-speed car chase spanning multiple jurisdictions came to an end in Sacramento after suspects allegedly committed an armed robbery at a CVS pharmacy in Roseville.

The incident began when Roseville police officers received a distress call from the CVS store. Employees reported that armed suspects had entered the pharmacy, demanded prescription medication and cash, and fled the scene in a getaway vehicle. Officers spotted the suspect vehicle shortly after and initiated a traffic stop, which the driver ignored, initiating a pursuit.

Pursuit Crosses County Lines

The chase continued onto the freeway, heading south toward Sacramento. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Sacramento Police Department joined Placer County deputies to assist with the pursuit as the suspect vehicle wove through afternoon traffic at high speeds.

The pursuit finally concluded in a residential area of Sacramento, where the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. K-9 units and air support were deployed, leading to the successful apprehension of all individuals involved.

Law enforcement officials recovered firearms, stolen currency, and narcotics from the scene. The suspects face severe charges including armed robbery, felony evading, and illegal weapons possession in both Placer and Sacramento counties.
