Sacramento Police Deploy Aerial Drone to Locate Burglary Suspects Hiding in Attic

SACRAMENTO, California — In a demonstration of modern law enforcement technology, Sacramento police officers utilized an aerial drone to successfully locate and apprehend two burglary suspects who were hiding inside the attic of a commercial building.

The operation took place on March 14, 2025, after police responded to reports of a commercial burglary in progress. Officers established a perimeter around the building, but the suspects could not be immediately located on the main floors. Officers then deployed an aerial drone equipped with specialized cameras into the building's upper structure.

The drone quickly identified the two suspects concealing themselves within the attic space. With their location confirmed, officers were able to safely coordinate and execute their arrests without further incident. Both individuals face charges related to commercial burglary and resisting law enforcement.
