Naked Intruder Arrested in North Highlands Home After Tense Standoff with Sacramento Deputies

NORTH HIGHLANDS, California — A North Highlands couple returned from an ordinary workout session to find a bizarre and terrifying scene inside their home: a completely naked intruder who claimed to be armed with a firearm. The encounter led to a major law enforcement response and a tense standoff before the suspect was safely taken into custody.

A Shocking Discovery

On July 21, 2025, the homeowners returned to their residence on Sunnyview Lane in North Highlands. Upon entering, they confronted a naked male suspect inside the home. The intruder immediately told the couple that he had a gun, prompting them to retreat, flee the premises, and call 911. Deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office quickly arrived on the scene and surrounded the home.

Standoff and Capture

Because the suspect claimed to be armed, deputies treated the situation with extreme caution. The Sheriff's Office deployed K-9 units and drone teams to assist. Drones were used to monitor the interior and exterior of the home, while deputies established communication with the suspect. After a standoff, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident. He was medically cleared before being booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

They discovered that the intruder had ransacked several rooms, taken a shower, shaved using the husband's razor, poured himself a glass of vodka, and eaten bananas from the kitchen.
