Gas Station Clerk Hospitalized After Stabbing During Southwest Side Robbery

A gas station clerk was hospitalized following a violent robbery on San Antonio's Southwest Side. The San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of an assault and robbery in progress at the service station.

According to investigators, a male suspect entered the gas station convenience store, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash from the register. During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed the clerk before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was treated by emergency medical services at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further medical care; their injuries, while serious, are reported to be non-life-threatening.

Officers secured the area and began a search of the immediate neighborhood, utilizing K-9 units and reviewing surveillance footage from the store's cameras. The suspect is described as a male, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area on the Southwest Side to contact investigators immediately.
