Valero Clerk Shot During Attempted Robbery on San Antonio's Northeast Side

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A violent attempted robbery at a Valero convenience store on the city's Northeast Side left a store clerk hospitalized with gunshot wounds, prompting a search for the shooter.

San Antonio Police responded to the convenience store following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a store employee suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment; the current medical status of the clerk has not been released, though the injuries are believed to be serious.
