Gunmen Remain at Large After Robbing ATM Service Worker in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has launched an active investigation and search for multiple armed suspects who attacked an ATM service worker and escaped with cash on Thursday afternoon.

The Ambush and Robbery

According to initial police reports, the incident occurred on August 14, 2025, when a technician was servicing an automated teller machine (ATM). While performing routine maintenance or refilling the cash canisters, the worker was suddenly approached by armed individuals. The suspects confronted the technician, brandished handguns, and assaulted them to gain access to the currency.

After a brief physical altercation, the gunmen successfully seized an undisclosed sum of money from the machine or the worker's possession. They quickly fled the scene in a getaway vehicle before police units arrived.

Police Response and Call for Public Assistance

SAPD officers arrived shortly after receiving the emergency call, securing the area and interviewing witnesses. First responders treated the worker for minor injuries sustained during the assault. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the ATM and nearby businesses to identify the suspects and the vehicle used in the crime.
