Thieves Plunder Thousands from Historic VFW Post 76 in Brazen, 20-Second Burglary

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Members of the historic VFW Post 76 in downtown San Antonio have been left reeling after a brazen burglary stripped the organization of thousands of dollars in operating funds on Monday.

Security footage captured the rapid heist, which unfolded in a matter of seconds. According to reports and surveillance video, two unidentified suspects forced entry into the establishment. Once inside, the perpetrators moved with calculated precision, locating and stealing cash containers before fleeing the premises in under a minute.

"We are absolutely devastated," said a spokesperson for VFW Post 76, which is known as the oldest active VFW Post in Texas and serves as a vital community hub for local veterans. The stolen funds were earmarked for veteran support programs and community outreach initiatives.
