$12,000 in Pokémon Collectibles Stolen from Rolando Shop
SAN DIEGO, CA — A Rolando-area hobby and collectible store fell victim to an overnight heist on Tuesday, November 18, resulting in the theft of $12,000 in rare Pokémon cards and related memorabilia, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Investigators state that the perpetrators managed to gain entry to the business after hours, focusing their efforts almost exclusively on premium merchandise cabinets. The stolen items include rare trading card singles, sealed booster boxes, and various high-demand collectible items. The financial loss represents a significant blow to the local shop's inventory and operations.
Detectives are currently examining forensic evidence left at the scene and analyzing security camera feeds from neighboring storefronts.
