Mission Gorge Bar Burglarized Amid Spate of Commercial Break-Ins

SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Police Department is investigating an early morning burglary at a local bar located on Mission Gorge Road, raising concerns among nearby business owners about a potential uptick in commercial property crimes.

According to police reports, the break-in occurred shortly before dawn on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Officers responded to a commercial audible alarm triggered at the establishment. Upon arrival, responding units discovered that the suspects had forced entry by shattering a large glass door at the front of the business.

Once inside, the perpetrator or perpetrators targeted the cash registers, ransacking the checkout area and leaving behind significant property damage. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash before police arrived. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the bar and surrounding businesses to identify the suspects.

The incident comes amidst a string of similar commercial burglaries targeting retail stores and restaurants in the Mission Gorge and Mission Valley areas over the past several weeks.
