Police Search for Suspect in Brazen Fashion Valley Mall Smash-and-Grab

SAN DIEGO, CA — Police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a brazen smash-and-grab burglary at a prominent retail store inside the Fashion Valley Mall.

The incident occurred during the early evening hours on Wednesday, when the mall was still open to shoppers. According to investigators, the suspect walked into the store, suddenly shattered a glass display case containing high-value items, grabbed the merchandise, and ran out through a mall exit.

The entire incident unfolded in a matter of seconds, leaving store employees and nearby shoppers stunned. Security personnel responded immediately, but the suspect managed to escape to a vehicle waiting in the parking lot before police arrived.

"This was an incredibly bold crime committed in broad daylight," a San Diego Police Department spokesperson said. "We are working closely with mall security and utilizing surveillance feeds from multiple angles to identify the suspect and track their escape route."
