Sledgehammer Burglaries Target Multiple Tierrasanta Restaurants

SAN DIEGO, CA — A string of burglaries utilizing a sledgehammer to smash through storefront windows has put local business owners in Tierrasanta on high alert, with police investigating whether the crimes are part of a larger organized series.

The break-ins occurred overnight, targeting multiple restaurants located within the same commercial plaza. In each instance, the suspect or suspects used a sledgehammer to bypass security glass, entering the businesses to steal cash drawers, safes, and electronic equipment.

Business owners arriving in the morning were greeted by shattered glass, destroyed entryways, and ransacked offices.
