SFPD Arrests Three Suspects, Seizes Illegal Firearms in Richmond District Residential Burglary
SAN FRANCISCO, CA โ San Francisco police officers have arrested three suspects and confiscated multiple illegal firearms following a residential burglary in the city's Richmond District, the SFPD announced.
The incident occurred on February 7, 2025, in the Richmond District (Case 25-024). Responding officers quickly established a perimeter around the targeted residence after receiving a call about a break-in in progress. Upon searching the area, officers apprehended three suspects who were attempting to flee the scene.
During the arrests and subsequent search, officers discovered and seized several illegal firearms, including handguns with high-capacity magazines. The suspects, whose names have not yet been released pending further investigation, face multiple felony charges, including residential burglary, conspiracy, and carrying loaded unregistered firearms.
"Thanks to the swift response of our Richmond station officers, we were able to arrest these suspects and remove dangerous, illegal weapons from our streets," the department said in a statement.
The SFPD continues to investigate whether the suspects are linked to other recent home invasions or residential burglaries in the area. Richmond district residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
