Police Hunt Six Suspects in Armed Retail Robbery in San Francisco's Sunset District

San Francisco police are searching for a group of six suspects who carried out a coordinated, armed robbery at a business in the Sunset District, threatening an employee with a metal object before stealing valuable merchandise.

Late-Night Confrontation on Irving Street

The robbery took place at approximately 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday evening at a retail storefront located in the 2000 block of Irving Street. According to the San Francisco Police Department, the six individuals entered the store together in a coordinated manner, immediately drawing the attention of the staff.

One of the suspects walked behind the sales counter, directly confronting the employee on duty and demanding that they open the cash register. When the employee refused to comply with the order, the suspect pressed a "cold metal object" against the worker's neck or back to force compliance. The employee managed to break away and escape to safety in the back of the store.

Theft and Escape

With the worker out of sight, the remaining five suspects quickly ransacked the shelves, focusing heavily on cosmetics and other high-value merchandise. The group filled bags with stolen items before fleeing the scene on foot. Police have released limited descriptions, stating that at least two of the suspects were male, while details on the remaining four remain sparse.

Officers from the Taraval Police Station are leading the investigation and are asking anyone with information or security footage from the area to contact investigators as they work to identify the crew responsible for this brazen crime.
