Suspect Arrested Shortly After West San Jose Residential Burglary

SAN JOSE, California — A suspect is in custody following a residential burglary in West San Jose on Thursday afternoon, after quick coordination by local police officers led to an arrest shortly after the crime occurred.

According to the San Jose Police Department, officers responded to reports of a break-in at a local residence. The caller provided a description of the suspect, who had entered the home and fled the scene shortly before police arrived. Units patrolling the area spotted an individual matching the description near the neighborhood and detained them without further incident.

Investigators recovered stolen property in the suspect's possession, which was subsequently returned to the victims. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, is facing multiple charges including first-degree residential burglary and possession of stolen property. They have been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
