Brazen Smash-and-Grab Robbers Ram Vehicle Into San Jose Jewelry Store

SAN JOSE, California — A dramatic daylight robbery took place at Kim Hưng Jewelry on Aborn Road, where a group of more than ten masked suspects rammed a vehicle directly into the front entrance of the family-owned store.

The brazen incident occurred in the 1900 block of Aborn Road. Security footage captured the moment a vehicle reversed at high speed into the store, shattering the glass storefront and destroying the security gates. A large group of suspects, some armed with firearms, quickly swarmed the store, smashing glass display cases and stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

During the chaos, the 88-year-old owner of the store was violently shoved to the ground by the suspects. He sustained physical injuries from the assault and flying glass, and subsequently suffered a stroke. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was treated and eventually discharged to recover at home with his family.

The San Jose Police Department launched a massive multi-agency investigation that lasted several months. Over the course of the investigation, police arrested 15 suspects connected to the robbery crew. Among them were Jamieon Miller and Wesley Miller, arrested in December 2025. Police allege that Jamieon Miller was the suspect who assaulted the elderly owner. Officers also recovered multiple illegal firearms, including an assault rifle and high-capacity magazines, during the arrests.
