7-Eleven Clerk Assaulted with Dog Leash During Downtown Seattle Robbery

An employee at a downtown Seattle 7-Eleven store was hospitalized after being assaulted with a heavy dog leash during an early morning robbery. The Seattle Police Department is currently investigating the incident and seeking help from the public to locate the suspect involved.

Officers responded to the convenience store following a panic alarm activation. According to witnesses, a customer entered the store with a dog and attempted to steal items from the shelves. When the employee confronted the individual and requested they pay for the merchandise, the suspect escalated the situation, swinging a heavy dog leash and striking the employee multiple times.

The suspect fled the store on foot with the stolen goods before officers arrived. Medic units treated the store clerk at the scene for cuts and bruises before transporting them to a local hospital for further evaluation. Investigators are reviewing security footage from the store to obtain a detailed description of the suspect and their canine companion.
