Three Hospitalized Following Violent Robbery at West Seattle Encampment

SEATTLE, Wash. — Three men were transported to local hospitals with varying injuries following a violent robbery at a homeless encampment in West Seattle on Monday afternoon.

Seattle Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene in West Seattle after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting an active assault and robbery. According to preliminary reports, a group of armed suspects entered the encampment, confronting the victims before physically assaulting them and stealing personal belongings and currency.

First responders treated the three injured men on-site before transporting them to Harborview Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. While their injuries are reported to be serious, none are currently believed to be life-threatening. The suspects fled the area immediately after the assault and remain at large.

Detectives from the Seattle Police Department's Robbery Unit are leading the investigation, collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses at the encampment. Police have asked anyone with information about the incident or the suspects' identities to contact the SPD Violent Crimes tip line.
