A wave of repeated burglaries targeting Alki Coffee Co. and neighboring beachside businesses has left the West Seattle community on edge and local proprietors facing mounting financial and emotional distress. The popular coffee shop, located along the scenic Alki Beach, has been hit by thieves multiple times over a multi-month period, highlighting a worrying trend of commercial break-ins in the area.

On December 3, 2025, burglars targeted both Alki Coffee Co. and the neighboring West Seattle Arcade, prompting fears of a coordinated effort targeting the waterfront strip. By December 4, 2025, news outlets confirmed that the coffee shop had been hit for the third time in a rapid series of incidents.

Despite increased community vigilance and police patrols, the pattern continued into the new year. On January 29, 2026, West Seattle Blog reported another break-in at the coffee shop, adding to the frustration of the owners and nearby residents.
