Springfield, Missouri Woman Charged with Burglary After Throwing Snake at Victim
SPRINGFIELD, Missouri โ A local woman faces burglary charges following a bizarre residential break-in during which she allegedly used an unusual weapon: a live snake. The incident occurred in Springfield, Missouri, leading to a prompt police response and the suspect's arrest.
According to the police report, the suspect forced entry into the victim's residence. During the ensuing confrontation, the suspect allegedly picked up a snake and threw it directly at the victim. While the victim was startled and shaken by the unusual assault, no serious physical injuries from the snake itself were reported. It was not immediately clear if the snake was a pet belonging to the homeowner, the suspect, or a wild snake found nearby.
The suspect has been formally charged with burglary and assault. She is currently being held in the Greene County Jail. Law enforcement officers noted that while they respond to numerous break-ins, the use of a reptile as an offensive weapon makes this case exceptionally rare. The investigation remains active as authorities compile the full report for the prosecution.
