Crime of the Week: Second Burglary at Springfield Comic Book Store

SPRINGFIELD, MO — The Springfield Police Department is requesting help from the community to identify a suspect involved in a second commercial burglary at a local comic book and games store. According to police reports, the break-in occurred early in the morning, marking the second time the business has been targeted in a matter of months.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect, described as a man wearing a stocking cap and a jacket, forcing his way into the establishment by breaking a glass window. Once inside, the suspect went directly to the counter in an attempt to steal the store's cash register. After struggling with the register, the individual fled the scene before officers arrived.
