STAMFORD, CT — A New York man is facing multiple larceny charges after police warrants revealed his involvement in the theft of over $40,000 worth of premium golf equipment from stores in Stamford and nearby Norwalk. The suspect was arrested following a multi-jurisdictional investigation into retail thefts targeting high-end sporting goods.

According to court warrants, the suspect repeatedly targeted specialized golf retailers over several weeks. He allegedly utilized sophisticated shoplifting techniques, including shielding bags to bypass inventory sensors, to walk out of the stores with expensive drivers, iron sets, and specialized putters.
