Woman Arrested and Charged in South St. Louis Set-Up Carjacking Scheme

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police have arrested and formally charged a local woman accused of orchestrating a targeted set-up that culminated in an armed carjacking in south St. Louis. The suspect allegedly lured the victim into a vulnerable position, allowing armed accomplices to swoop in and steal the vehicle at gunpoint.

According to charging documents, the incident unfolded when the suspect coordinated with the victim to meet in a south St. Louis neighborhood. Unbeknownst to the victim, the meeting was a pre-arranged trap. Once the victim arrived at the designated location, armed individuals approached the vehicle, threatened the driver, and forcibly took control of the automobile before fleeing the scene.

Investigators quickly focused their attention on the female suspect, tracing communications and digital footprints that linked her directly to the armed robbers. Following her arrest, prosecutors charged her with complicity in the armed theft and robbery. Law enforcement officials continue to search for the remaining suspects involved in the violent heist. The victim, though severely shaken, did not report any physical injuries during the confrontation.
