Police Searching for Suspect in South St. Louis Bank Robbery

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday morning in south St. Louis, where a lone male suspect managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect walked into the bank branch, approached a teller, and demanded money. Although the suspect did not visibly display a weapon, his demands were compliance-inducing, prompting the employee to hand over the funds. The suspect then fled the building on foot, disappearing into the surrounding neighborhood before police units could arrive.
