South St. Louis Man Shot After Confronting Suspect During Home Invasion

ST. LOUIS, MO — A South St. Louis man is recovering after being shot when he confronted an armed intruder inside his home. The incident led to a dramatic police pursuit and the subsequent arrest and charging of the suspect.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the victim's residence during the early morning hours of March 24, 2025. The homeowner confronted the intruder, resulting in an altercation during which the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the resident. The suspect then fled the scene, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

Following a coordinated investigation and search, officers spotted the suspect's vehicle, initiating a high-speed pursuit. The chase ended with the suspect's apprehension. The suspect has since been formally charged with multiple counts, including home invasion, assault, armed criminal action, and fleeing from police.
