Sledgehammer-Wielding Suspects Attempt Break-In at Stockton Business

STOCKTON, California — Stockton police are searching for suspects who attempted a break-in at a local business using sledgehammers. Surveillance video shows the suspects repeatedly striking the building's exterior in an attempt to shatter the windows or breach the door.

Despite their aggressive efforts, the security glass and reinforced doors held, preventing the suspects from gaining entry to the building. Realizing their attempts were unsuccessful, the group abandoned the effort and fled in a waiting vehicle.

The business suffered property damage, but no items were reported stolen. Detectives are reviewing the video footage to identify the suspects and their vehicle, urging anyone with information to contact the department.
