Four Teenagers Charged with Burglary, Kidnapping in Stony Point Home Invasion

STONY POINT, NC — Authorities in Alexander County have charged four teenagers—an 18-year-old and three juveniles—following a violent break-in and home invasion in Stony Point.

The charges stem from an incident where the suspects forced entry into a local residence. According to investigators, the teenagers engaged in armed robbery and held the occupants against their will, resulting in serious felony charges of first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and kidnapping.

Because three of the suspects are under the age of 18, their identities have not been released by law enforcement. The 18-year-old suspect is being held in the local detention facility under a substantial bond. Deputies confirmed that weapons were involved during the commission of the crime, raising the severity of the charges.

The Alexander County Sheriff's Office is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the break-in, including whether the residence was specifically targeted. Investigators are working with juvenile justice officials to handle the cases of the three underage suspects, while the adult suspect is scheduled to make a preliminary court appearance.
