Yadier Molina's Puerto Rico Property Burglarized, $57K in Goods and Livestock Stolen

TOA ALTA, Puerto Rico — Local authorities in Puerto Rico have launched an active investigation after a luxury country estate belonging to former Major League Baseball star Yadier Molina was burglarized, resulting in the theft of high-value livestock, electronics, and household goods.

The incident occurred at Molina's property in the municipality of Toa Alta, located in the northern mountainous region of the island. According to reports from the Puerto Rico Police Bureau, suspects broke into the secure estate during the first week of September 2025, ransacking the main house and outdoor facilities before escaping with property valued at nearly $57,000.

Livestock and Thousands of Pounds of Feed Stolen

The burglary was particularly unusual due to the large-scale theft of animals and agricultural supplies. Investigators revealed that the perpetrators stole 14 pigs and a horse from the estate's stables. The animals alone are valued at an estimated $16,000. To sustain the livestock, the thieves also carted away approximately 3,300 pounds (1,500 kilograms) of animal feed, suggesting that the crime was well-planned and involved a large transport vehicle to haul the animals and supplies.

Luxury Items and Off-Road Vehicle Taken

In addition to the animals, the suspects entered the residential home on the property, stealing five television sets and several premium pieces of furniture, including complete living room and dining room sets, as well as bed frames. They also stole an off-road utility vehicle parked on the property, which police believe may have been used to assist in moving the stolen goods across the estate during the heist.

Yadier Molina, a legendary catcher who played 19 seasons in the major leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals before retiring in 2022, was not present at the property when the burglary took place. Molina, who is highly regarded in Puerto Rico and has managed the island's national baseball team, has not publicly commented on the incident. Police are checking local security camera feeds and interviewing neighbors in the rural Toa Alta community to track down the suspects and recover the stolen livestock.
