Toledo Domestic Violence and Burglary Suspect Arrested After Trying to Board Moving Train While Fleeing Police

TOLEDO, Ohio — A dramatic police chase in Toledo took a highly dangerous turn when a suspect wanted on charges of domestic violence and burglary attempted to board a moving train in a desperate bid to evade law enforcement officers.

According to the Toledo Police Department (TPD), officers were tracking down the suspect in connection with active domestic violence and burglary incidents. When confronted by police, the individual fled the scene on foot, sparking a pursuit through local neighborhoods.

During the chase, the suspect reached a nearby railway line and attempted to hop onto a moving freight train. TPD officers, recognizing the severe risk of injury or death, successfully intervened and apprehended the suspect before they could get onto the train or be harmed by it.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and faces multiple charges related to domestic violence, burglary, and fleeing from police. No injuries were reported during the pursuit.
