Two Toledo Gas Stations Targeted in Consecutive Early Morning Armed Robberies

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are searching for a group of armed suspects who targeted two separate gas stations in rapid succession early Tuesday morning on July 2, 2024. Investigators believe the same group is responsible for both incidents due to the short timeframe and matching descriptions of the perpetrators.

The crime spree began in the early hours of Tuesday when multiple masked individuals entered the first gas station. According to witnesses, the suspects brandished firearms and demanded cash and merchandise from the store employee. Within minutes of completing the first robbery, the group fled the scene and targeted a second gas station located just a short distance away, executing a similar armed heist.

Police Response and Description of Suspects

Toledo Police officers responded to both locations to collect evidence and interview employees. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident, though employees at both stations were deeply shaken by the confrontations. The suspects reportedly made off with cash, tobacco products, and other store merchandise.

Detectives are reviewing high-definition security camera footage from both businesses to obtain clearer descriptions of the suspects and their getaway vehicle. The perpetrators were described as wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves.
