Topeka Police Arrest Three Burglary Suspects at Evergy Security Center

TOPEKA, Kan. — The Topeka Police Department arrested three individuals on Friday, October 11, 2024, following a burglary incident at the Evergy Security Center.

Officers were dispatched to the security center after receiving reports of unauthorized entry and suspicious activity on the property. Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel established a perimeter around the facility and located three suspects who were allegedly attempting to burglarize the location.

The three suspects were detained at the scene without incident. Officers recovered tools and other items believed to be linked to the break-in. All three individuals were subsequently transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections and booked on charges including burglary and criminal trespass.

Evergy Security Center operations were not disrupted, and no injuries were reported. The Topeka Police Department continues to investigate the incident to determine if the suspects are linked to other recent commercial burglaries in the area.
