FBI Investigates Southwest Topeka Bank Robbery on Monday Morning

TOPEKA, Kan. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in coordination with the Topeka Police Department, has launched an active investigation into a bank robbery that took place on Monday morning, May 12, 2025, in Southwest Topeka.

Authorities responded to reports of a robbery at a local financial institution in the southwest sector of the city. According to preliminary details, the suspect entered the building and demanded money. It has not been publicly confirmed whether a weapon was displayed or if any threats of violence were made during the encounter.

Law enforcement officials immediately secured the perimeter and began interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
