VICTORVILLE, CA โ A Victorville man has been jailed following a bizarre but dangerous knifepoint robbery at a local gas station. The incident, which began as a simple theft of candy, quickly escalated into a felony armed robbery when the suspect pulled a weapon on a store clerk.

The robbery took place at a gas station convenience store in Victorville. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the suspect entered the store and attempted to steal candy. When confronted by the store employee, the suspect brandished a knife, threatening the worker before fleeing the premises with the stolen items. The clerk immediately contacted 911, prompting a swift response from local deputies.

Deputies canvassed the area and quickly located a suspect matching the description provided by the clerk. The man was arrested and found in possession of the weapon and the stolen merchandise. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on charges of armed robbery.
