Police Investigate $50,000 Retail Burglary at Northeast D.C. Apparel Store

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating a high-value commercial burglary after thieves broke into an apparel store in Northeast Washington, D.C., and made off with approximately $50,000 worth of merchandise.

The break-in, which occurred prior to November 17, 2024, targeted a local fashion and apparel retail outlet. According to preliminary reports, the suspects managed to bypass security measures to gain entry into the premises during non-business hours. Once inside, they systematically cleared racks and inventory shelves, selecting high-value garments and accessories before fleeing the scene.

MPD Fourth District detectives are currently reviewing security footage from the store and surrounding businesses in an effort to identify the perpetrators.
