Security Footage Released Following Triple Business Burglaries in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s criminal investigations division are reviewing surveillance footage following a succession of business break-ins in Southeast Washington.

According to the official report, a suspect gained unauthorized access to three businesses located along the same road. Police believe the same individual is responsible for all three events, citing matching physical descriptions and similar tactics used to breach the storefronts.

Surveillance images show the suspect wearing dark clothing as he entered the properties. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the night in question, or who recognizes the individual from security photos, to come forward.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers financial rewards for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of individuals responsible for commercial burglaries in the District. Security patrols have been temporarily increased in the commercial sector to deter further criminal activity.
