D.C. Police Seek Public's Help to Identify Suspects in Florida Avenue NW Burglary

WASHINGTON, D.C. โ€” The Metropolitan Police Department's Third District is seeking the community's assistance in identifying two suspects captured on security cameras during a commercial burglary on Florida Avenue NW.

Authorities state that the burglary took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The suspects forced open a rear entry door of a business located along the busy commercial corridor of Florida Avenue NW. Once inside, the two individuals searched the premises, targeted the store's cash drawer, and stole merchandise before escaping into the surrounding neighborhood.

Police have released photos and video clips showing both suspects in detail. The first suspect is described as a male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and face covering, while the second suspect was seen wearing a light-colored jacket and dark pants. Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has information about the burglary is asked to call police or submit an anonymous tip online.
