Smash-and-Grab Crew Plows Truck into West Hollywood Retail Store Front

A major retail store in West Hollywood suffered extensive damage after a group of burglary suspects plowed a truck directly into the storefront to gain entry. The dramatic incident occurred during the late-night hours, leaving debris scattered across the sidewalk and inside the showroom.

According to a report by the Beverly Press, the incident took place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The suspects utilized a large pickup truck to ram through the glass windows and metal security grates of the retail establishment. The force of the impact destroyed the storefront structure, allowing the perpetrators to enter the store and quickly loot the inventory.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple masked suspects quickly loading high-value items from the store into the back of the truck and another accompanying vehicle before speeding away from the scene. Deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to the location within minutes of the alarm activation, but the suspects had already fled.

The store's management is currently working with engineers to assess the structural integrity of the building, as the collision caused significant damage to the storefront's support columns. Store officials are also working to determine the total value of the stolen goods. The incident has renewed conversations among local business groups and city officials regarding the implementation of safety bollards on sidewalks to prevent future ram-raid style attacks.
