Thieves Steal Massive 1,400-Pound Car Lift in Audacious West Palm Beach Dealership Heist

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Investigators are searching for bold thieves who managed to steal a massive piece of commercial garage equipment during a break-in at a luxury car dealership in West Palm Beach. According to police, the suspects stole a car lift weighing approximately 1,400 pounds.

The incident took place during the early morning hours of March 1, 2025. Officers responded to a security alarm at the high-end automotive facility. Upon inspection, dealership staff discovered that a heavy-duty mechanical car lift, typically used for vehicle maintenance and displaying luxury cars, was missing from the service bay area.

Given the weight and size of the 1,400-pound apparatus, authorities believe the theft was an organized effort requiring multiple individuals and a heavy-duty transport vehicle, such as a flatbed truck or a large utility trailer.
