Crime Stoppers: Southeast Wichita Smoke Shop Robbed by Armed Suspect

WICHITA, Kansas — Wichita police detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a smoke shop in southeast Wichita and are calling on the public to help identify the perpetrator through Crime Stoppers.

The robbery took place shortly before 12:30 PM on December 19, 2025. Officers were called to the retail store where employees reported that a suspect had entered, produced a weapon, and demanded money from the cash register. After securing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the business on foot. Fortunately, no employees or customers were injured during the confrontation.

Active Police Investigation

Wichita Police Department patrol officers and detectives arrived on the scene to gather evidence and interview witnesses. Surveillance cameras inside the smoke shop captured images of the suspect, described as wearing dark clothing and a mask. Crime scene technicians also processed the counter area for physical evidence.
