Wichita Falls Best Buy Target of Monday Morning Burglary; Suspects Flee to Corsicana

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Wichita Falls Police Department is investigating an early morning burglary at the local Best Buy retail store on Monday, February 23, 2026. According to initial reports, the incident occurred during the early hours of Monday morning before regular business hours.

Authorities responded to an alarm at the electronics retailer, discovering signs of forced entry. While the full extent of the stolen merchandise remains under investigation, the suspect or suspects managed to flee the scene before officers could intercept them.

Information obtained during the preliminary investigation suggested that the suspects fled southeastward from Wichita Falls. Law enforcement agencies along the corridor were alerted to watch for the suspects' vehicle. The pursuit and investigation subsequently led authorities toward Corsicana, Texas, situated approximately 180 miles from the scene of the crime. Multiple law enforcement agencies are cooperating to locate the suspects and recover the stolen electronics. No injuries have been reported in connection with the break-in.
