Commercial Theft at University Parkway Gas Station Under Investigation by Winston-Salem Police

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are asking for the public's assistance as they investigate a commercial theft that took place at a gas station located on University Parkway.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, the incident occurred on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Investigators report that suspects entered the business premises, targeted the register and merchandise areas, and successfully made off with an undisclosed sum of cash along with various pieces of commercial property.

It remains unclear whether the business was open at the time of the theft or if the suspects forced entry into the building. Authorities have been canvassing the University Parkway corridor, collecting security surveillance footage from the gas station and nearby retail outlets in hopes of identifying the individuals involved.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
