Winston-Salem Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Local Business

WINSTON-SALEM, NC — Detectives with the Winston-Salem Police Department are actively investigating an armed robbery that targeted a local business on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Officers responded to a call for service at the commercial establishment after employees reported that an unidentified suspect entered the premises brandishing a weapon. According to preliminary reports, the suspect demanded cash from the register and threatened the staff before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter, though the employees present were shaken by the event.

Winston-Salem police officers quickly secured the perimeter and deployed K-9 units to track the suspect, but the individual remains at large. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store and neighboring businesses to obtain a detailed description of the perpetrator.
