Two Charged After Attempted Robbery and Shooting in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Two suspects are in custody and facing serious charges following a violent attempted robbery that culminated in gunfire in Winston-Salem, police officials confirmed.

The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to reports of shots fired during a robbery attempt. Upon arrival, officers discovered that what began as an attempted armed robbery quickly escalated when a firearm was discharged. Investigators acted swiftly, gathering physical evidence and witness testimony at the scene, which led to the identification and subsequent arrest of two suspects.

Both individuals have been booked into the local detention center and face multiple felony charges, including attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
