Winston-Salem Police Investigate Armed Robbery and Kidnapping on University Parkway

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Local authorities are appealing to the public for information following a harrowing incident involving both an armed robbery and a kidnapping along University Parkway. The Winston-Salem Police Department has launched a comprehensive investigation into the events that transpired in the busy commercial corridor.

According to initial reports released by police officials, the suspect or suspects confronted the victim, brandishing a weapon, before forcibly taking control of the situation and committing the robbery. The victim was briefly held against their will, escalating the offense to kidnapping. Fortunately, no life-threatening physical injuries were reported immediately after the incident, though the psychological trauma remains severe.
