Four Men Arrested on M65 After Farmfoods Store Burglary in Chorley

Four men have been arrested following a commercial burglary at a Farmfoods store in Chorley. The incident triggered a rapid police response that culminated in a vehicle interception on the nearby M65 motorway.

Police were alerted to a break-in at the food retailer during the early hours of the morning. Officers immediately mobilized to track down a suspicious vehicle seen fleeing the area. With the assistance of highway patrol teams, the suspect car was spotted and successfully stopped on the M65.

The four occupants of the vehicle were detained at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary. Police recovered stolen goods and tools suspected of being used in the break-in from the vehicle.

A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson stated: "This was an excellent example of quick reporting by the public combined with coordinated action by our response and roads policing teams. The suspects remain in custody, and our investigation into the full circumstances of the burglary is ongoing."
