Man Arrested Following Attempted Burglaries in Ballentine Lane Area of Lisburn

A man has been arrested by police officers investigating reports of attempted burglaries in the Ballentine Lane area of Lisburn.

The arrest follows reports from alert residents who noticed suspicious behavior in the early hours of Monday, 29th January 2024. Intruders had reportedly tried to gain entry to multiple properties in the Ballentine Lane residential development but were unsuccessful due to secure locks and swift action by local residents calling the police.

Responding quickly to the emergency calls, police patrols deployed to the area located and detained a suspect matching the descriptions provided. The man remains in custody assisting police with their inquiries.
