CCTV Appeal Launched After Intruder Burgles Home in Jesmond, Newcastle

JESMOND, Newcastle โ€” Northumbria Police have launched an investigation and released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following a residential burglary in the Jesmond area of Newcastle.

Late-Night Break-In

The burglary occurred at around 1:00 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. An intruder gained access through the front door of a residential property situated on Mayfair Road. Once inside, the suspect stole several items, including a laptop and a set of house keys, before fleeing the scene.

Police Appeal and CCTV Image

Following inquiries and a review of surveillance footage in the area, officers released an image of a man believed to have been in the vicinity at the time of the break-in. Police believe he may hold information crucial to their investigation.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police urged the man in the image, or anyone who recognizes him, to get in touch. Information can be shared via direct message on social media, through the live chat function or report forms on the Northumbria Police website, or by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 110856T/25.
