CCTV Released After Metro Trains Spray-Painted in Nexus Training Centre Burglary
Northumbria Police have released CCTV images of several individuals they want to identify following a high-profile burglary and act of vandalism at the Nexus training centre in South Shields. The incident resulted in significant damage to Metro trains stored at the facility.
According to police reports, a group of offenders forced entry into the secure training compound. Once inside, they targeted multiple Metro carriages, spray-painting them with extensive graffiti before escaping. The damage disrupted operations and required significant resources to clean and repair the affected carriages.

Investigators are hoping that members of the public might recognize the individuals shown in the newly released images, despite their attempts to conceal their identities.
"This burglary and subsequent criminal damage at the Nexus facility is completely unacceptable," said the investigating officer. "It does not just damage property; it has a wider impact on the public transport network. We are determined to find those responsible and are asking the community for their help."
