Series of Robberies at Augusta Dollar General Stores Lead to Arrests and Ongoing Suspect Search

AUGUSTA, GA — The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has been actively investigating multiple robberies at Dollar General locations across Augusta. These incidents, spanning over a few weeks, have led to heightened community concern and a series of police actions including arrests and public appeals for suspect identification.

The earliest reported case in the sequence resulted in an arrest on November 26, 2025. Officers apprehended a male suspect wanted for Robbery by Intimidation following an incident at a local Dollar General store. Authorities confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody without further incident after an investigation identified him as the perpetrator of the threat-based theft.

However, the crime wave did not stop there. On December 10, 2025, investigators released details regarding an armed robbery at another Dollar General branch.
