Police search for three suspects in robbery at Bakersfield convenience store

BAKERSFIELD, California — The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for three suspects following an armed robbery at a convenience store early Monday morning, December 1, 2025. Officers were dispatched to the business after an employee triggered a silent panic alarm during the heist.

According to the preliminary investigation, three suspects entered the convenience store, located near a busy Bakersfield intersection, at approximately 3:30 AM. One of the suspects brandished what appeared to be a handgun, demanding cash from the register. The employee, fearing for their safety, complied with the demands and handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

Swift Action and Escape

The entire encounter lasted less than two minutes. After securing the cash, the suspects also grabbed several items of merchandise from the shelves behind the counter before fleeing the store on foot. Fortunately, the store clerk was not physically injured during the robbery, though they were shaken by the confrontation.

Police officers arrived shortly after the suspects fled and established a perimeter. A K-9 unit was deployed to track the suspects' path, but the scent was lost a few blocks away, suggesting they may have entered a vehicle parked nearby.

Suspect Descriptions Released

Detectives have reviewed the store's surveillance video and released descriptions of the three suspects in hopes of obtaining public assistance:

• Suspect 1 (Armed): Male, approximately 5'9" tall, wearing a black mask, dark gray hoodie, and black gloves.
• Suspect 2: Male, approximately 6'0" tall, wearing a blue jacket, jeans, and a baseball cap.
• Suspect 3: Male, approximately 5'8" tall, wearing a red sweatshirt and dark sweatpants.
