Three Suspects Apprehended in Beaumont Following Police Pursuit and Attempted ATM Theft

BEAUMONT, Texas — Three individuals face felony charges following a dramatic high-speed police pursuit that crossed county lines and ended with a crash and a K-9 track in Orange County. The incident, which unfolded on November 6, 2025, has been linked to an attempted ATM theft in Beaumont earlier that morning.

According to the Beaumont Police Department, officers first responded to a report of a stolen Ford F-250 pickup truck at a Holiday Inn Express situated in the 7100 block of the Eastex Freeway. The owner of the truck, who had been actively tracking the vehicle via GPS, provided real-time updates to law enforcement. When officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over, initiating a high-speed chase.

The pursuit crossed from Jefferson County into neighboring Orange County, where the suspect vehicle eventually lost control and collided with a telephone pole. Following the crash, three male suspects fled the scene on foot into nearby wooded terrain. Beaumont Police K-9 Sergeant Lisenby and his police dog, Loki, were deployed to search the area. K-9 Loki successfully tracked down and located all three suspects, who were then taken into custody without further incident.

During a search of the recovered Ford F-250, investigators discovered a heavy-duty chain attached to the truck's rear hitch—a tool commonly utilized by criminals for "hook and chain" ATM burglaries. Further investigation confirmed that the suspects had attempted to break into a Beaumont ATM shortly before officers intercepted them. The three men were booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and evading arrest.
